Circling high above Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom,
the rockets of Astro Orbiter take guests on a trip in machine-age
rocket ships. Looking more like a Buck Rogers toy than a modern
space vehicle, the aerial adventure surrounds passengers with whirling
planets during a swing through space in the center of Tomorrowland.
Soaring high above Tomorrowland, passengers aboard
Astro Orbiter can soak in a picturesque view of the Magic Kingdom
icon, Cinderella Castle.

"We all loved this ride! I have read a lot of
negative feedback on it, but my advice is don't listen to other's
opinions on it. To me it is simple. If you don't mind heights or
going round and round, then it is pretty amazing to get up there
and find yourself among the nine planets. There is a moderate wait,
and fastpass is not available on this attraction, but isn't waiting
in line par for the course anyways at a theme park? Go ahead and
have fun." (2/02) Theresa
"In essence, Astro Orbiter is Dumbo on steroids.
This ride is good for that middle age that is too old for Dumbo,
but still not up for the Space Mountain journey. This attraction
is really not for anyone who is afraid of heights, and, because
of the extremely tight quarters in the rocket ship, overweight people
may find problems with this attraction.
Tips: If you must ride Astro Orbiter, save it for when the sun goes
down, when the view is much more riveting.
Astro Orbiter has one of the most deceiving lines in the park, you
think you are there when you reach the elevator, only to find hundreds
of other people at the top. Overall, this attraction is easily skippable,
unless you have children in the age group I described above."
