New & Old San Juan City Tour (3 hours)

Enjoy the best of both worlds. On this exciting tour of the city, you’ll first explore New San Juan’s sleek and ultramodern Condado and Isla Verde section. Here, contemporary condominiums and luxury hotels line the streets en route to Two Brothers Bridge , where you’ll pause for a photo opportunity while taking in the stunning views. Then it’s on to Old San Juan to visit the 17th-century San Cristobal Fort and pass by El Morro Castle and other historical monuments. Your last stop is Fortaleza Street , the city’s main shopping area in the heart of Old San Juan. You can choose to ride in comfort on the air-conditioned tour bus or take a 20-minute stroll along the famed blue-cobblestone streets back to the ship.

Discover Curacao Island Tour (4 hours)

This approximate 3 1/2-hour island excursion includes a tour of the island’s countryside and the city of Willemstad and three of Curaçao’s major attractions, including the spectacular Hato Caves and Petroglyph Trail, the Curaçao Museum in Otrabanda and the Negrita, an 84-foot replica of an 18th-century sailing schooner that includes a tasting room featuring the famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur and Ponche Cuba. All of the stops are approximately 15 minutes apart. Next, your guide will describe major points of interest during the drive through Punda in the heart of Willemstad . At the end of the tour, you may take the approximate 5-minute ride back to the ship, or remain in town for shopping or sightseeing and walk back to the ship at your convenience.

El Yunque Rainforest Tour (4.5 – 5 hours)

Eco-adventurers won’t want to miss the opportunity to explore this magnificent rainforest. With elevations as high as 3,526 feet and 200 inches of rainfall a year, this 28,000-acre oasis teems with abundant flora and fauna. A scenic 1-hour ride to the rainforest will take you past quaint towns and rural communities for a glimpse of authentic island life. Upon arrival, your rainforest exploration begins at Baño Grande, a natural swimming pool, and continues with a 20-minute interpretive walking trail through the Palo Colorado Forest . Along the way, you’ll observe a variety of unique vegetation and wildlife. After your hike, it’s a short bus ride to a pair of excellent photo opportunities before taking the 1-hour return trip to the ship: the Yohaku Observation Tower for a bird’s-eye view of the forest and the spectacular aquatic display at La Coca Waterfalls.

Seaworld Explorer Semi-Submarine (1.5 - 2 hours)

Explore the underwater marvels of Curaçao without getting wet! After an approximate 15-minute ride to the dock, you’ll board this underwater observatory to enjoy an approximate 1-hour narrated coral reef tour as the Seaworld Explorer cruises five feet below the surface of the water, but does not submerge completely. During the tour, you’ll observe sea life in air-conditioned comfort through large, clear glass windows. Colorful corals, dramatic underwater vistas and tropical fish will all play a part in this spectacular aquatic show—you’ll even see fish being fed by hand by a diver right outside the vessel’s windows. Afterwards, you’ll have plenty of fish tales to share during the approximate 15-minute return to the ship!

Bacardi Rum Distillery Tour (3 hours)

This tour is more than a visit to the largest rum distillery in the world—it’s also a trip back in time as you learn about San Juan’s fascinating history and the development of the island’s sugar cane industry. After a 30-minute ride, your visit will include a stop at the Bacardi Theater for an informative history presentation and a demonstration on how to mix a variety of rum cocktails—and sample the results. Your tour concludes with a visit to the Bacardi shops and museum before the 30-minute ride back to the ship.

See & Sea Island Tour (2.5 - 3 hours)

This exciting excursion combines the best of both worlds with a trip on the Seaworld Explorer semi-submarine plus a city highlights tour. After an approximate 15-minute ride, you’ll board this cruising underwater observatory - which does not submerge completely - at the dock. Enjoy an approximate 50-minute narrated tour in the air-conditioned comfort of the vessel as it cruises five feet below the surface of the water, while you observe sea life through large glass windows. Once back on land, you’ll continue on to an approximate 20-minute visit to the Negrita, an 84-foot replica of an 18th-century sailing schooner. The tour then heads back to Punda, as your knowledgeable guide describes the area’s major landmarks. Afterwards, you may choose to take the approximate 35-minute ride back to the ship or stop off in town and make the short walk back to the ship at your leisure.

Ocean Trail Horseback Riding (4 hours)

After a 1-hour drive, your adventure begins at Hacienda Buena Vista at the beautiful Palmas del Mar Resort, where you’ll receive instructions before mounting a Puerto Rican Paso horse. Your equestrian escort will take you along the beautiful southeast coast of Puerto Rico , where you’ll see the islands of Culebra and Vieques set like jewels in the sparkling waters of the Caribbean . You’ll also enjoy verdant views of the southernmost part of the lush El Yunque rainforest. After your ride, you’ll stop at the ranch for refreshments before the 1-hour return trip to the ship. Please note: The maximum allowable weight for riders is 250 lbs.

Spanish Water Snorkel Tour (3.5 - 4 hours)

Take the plunge! Explore Curaçao’s underwater world on this exciting excursion. After a 10-minute walk to your snorkel boat, you’ll take an approximate 30-minute boat ride along the coastline of Curacao as your friendly guides point out historical and cultural points of interest en route to one of the best snorkeling sites of Curacao, a sunken tugboat. Here, you’ll have approximately 1 hour to swim and snorkel amid colorful corals and marine life or simply relax on the boat and enjoy the scenery. Back on board after your underwater exploration, enjoy a rum or fruit punch during the scenic 30-minute return to the dock. Once at the dock, it’s an approximate 10-minute walk back to the ship.

Pinones Preserve Bike Tour (3 – 3.5 hours)

Freewheeling fun! A 30-minute ride to the Piñones area in Carolina takes you to this cycling opportunity. Helpful guides will provide you with instructions, bottled water, bikes and helmets for a scenic ride. This 11/2- to 2-hour tour along an oceanfront boardwalk and mangrove trails features spectacular scenery, including the Piñones Marshlands. The terrain is primarily flat with a slight incline. And remember to wear swimming attire under your biking clothes: At the end of the trail, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the ocean prior to the 30-minute ride back to the ship. Please note: The maximum allowable weight for cyclists is 300 lbs.

Curacao Day at the Beach (4 - 6.5 hours)

Spend a day lounging on the sugar-white sands and playing in the surf at the Hilton Hotel’s pristine beach. An approximate 20-minute ride takes you to this beachside retreat, where you can choose to enjoy three to five hours at the beach, depending on the departure time you select. You’ll enjoy your own private lounge chair, two complimentary drinks and a buffet lunch during your stay. Towels are available for your use, and the kids will love the complimentary sand pails, spades and beach balls provided. Guests will also have access to the hotel’s putting course and pool; additional aquatic equipment, such as kayaks, snorkeling gear and paddleboats are available for rent. After your fun-filled day at the beach, three afternoon departure times are available for the approximate 20-minute return ride to the ship.

Kayak & Snorkel Eco-Adventure (5 - 5.5 hours)

Plunge into the action! After a 1-hour bus ride to Seven Seas Beach in the town of Fajardo , get ready for the eco adventure of a lifetime. First, you’ll meet with the friendly staff for an informative orientation before gearing up for aquatic excitement. The crystalline waters of Seven Seas await your exploration via kayak and snorkeling—you’ll have approximately 2 to 21/2 hours to kayak and swim among colorful reefs abundant with living coral and a variety of fascinating sea creatures. Afterwards, it’s a 1-hour trip back to the ship. Please note: The maximum allowable weight for kayakers is 250 lbs.

Curacao Outback Adventure (3 - 3.5 hours)

The ride of your life! After meeting your guides, you’ll receive a brief orientation before heading off on an exciting guided 4X4 vehicle tour. Qualified guests will drive the vehicles on the tour, which will be accompanied by guides driving lead and trailing vehicles. First, you’ll journey approximately 30 minutes to the desert landscape of San Pedro Plains , home to the island’s famous Divi Divi trees. This 50-minute tour of the plains also includes views of the Slave Walls at Tera Cora and a 20-minute water break at the Vleermuis Caves . Then, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the countryside as you travel approximately 25 minutes along a scenic route known as “Rats Eaten Hill Trail” before taking a 20-minute break to pause and refresh with a complimentary soft drink at a beach-view site. Your journey ends with a drive past the salt flats during the 30-minute ride back to the ship.

Highlights Tour with Folkloric Show (3.5 hours)

It’s a blast from the past! Learn about the lively culture and history of Curaçao on this enjoyable excursion. Your first stop after an approximate 8-minute ride is the Curaçao Museum , which is housed in a 19th-century former military hospital. There, you’ll learn about the island’s intriguing history before the approximate 15-minute ride to the Distillery of Chobolobo, where the world-famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur is still made by hand, following an ancient recipe brought by the Spaniards in the 15th century. During the ride, your guide will describe points of interest along the way to the Folkloric Show of Curaçao. As dancers demonstrate how to dance the Tumba, a traditional island dance, you’ll have a chance to join in the captivating rhythms, too, before the approximate 20-minute ride back to the ship.

To the bat cave and beyond! Take an approximate 15-minute ride to the island’s most timeless attraction: the Hato Caves , which were once inhabited by the Arowak Indians. Explore this subterranean wonder of stalagmites, stalactites, underground chambers and pools, fruit bats’ sleeping quarters and the sunken Curaçao Falls . The next stop is a visit to the Distillery of Chobolobo, where the world-famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur is still made by hand according to an ancient recipe brought by the Spaniards in the 15th century. Your final visit before the approximate 25-minute ride back to the ship is the Landhouse Bloemhof, an art- and antiques-filled country home that shares the fascinating story of the island’s early Jewish settlers.

After a sail to a secluded beach, the catamaran will drop anchor in knee-deep water so you can relax under the boat’s shaded awning, catch some rays on the beach or snorkel in 3 to 20 feet of crystal-clear water. See if you can spot the many parrotfish, blue head wrasse, yellowtail, palometa and other marine life that call the Caribbean home before embarking on the 1-hour ride back to the ship.

You’ll have a chance to hand-feed the birds, observe the ostrich's development from egg to adult, and perhaps even see Don Juan the ostrich perform a special dance. Then it’s an approximate 25-minute ride to Hato Caves , where you’ll have a chance to explore among stalagmites, stalactites, the sunken Curaçao Falls and other underground wonders. The approximate 15-minute return to the ship takes the scenic route along the southeast coast of Curaçao .

After a 1-hour ride to Fajardo, where you’ll receive a safety orientation, it’s time to board a comfortable boat for the 10-minute ride to the island of Icacos . At this scenic stop, you’ll gear up for your snorkeling adventure. Enjoy a leisurely swim among the vibrant reefs, corals and fish before getting back on board for beverages and snacks. Then, the trip back to the ship will take 1 hour.

Africa Kunuku Tour (3 - 3.5 hours)

It’s a dynamic duo! This pair of excursions takes you to two unique farms in Curacao . During the approximately 30-minute long scenic ride, your guide will point out historic and notable sites along the way before you arrive at the Ostrich Farm, the largest of its kind outside of Africa . There you’ll embark on a guided visit with the earth's largest birds, where you’ll have a chance to hand-feed the birds, observe the ostrich's development from egg to adult, and perhaps even see Don Juan the ostrich perform a special dance. You’ll then continue on to the Aloe Plantation of Curaçao, just a few minutes away. Here, a professional aloe expert will explain the many uses of this amazing plant. The approximate 30-minute return to the ship takes the scenic route along the southeast coast of Curaçao .

Old San Juan Walking Tour (2.5 – 3 hours)

Travel back in time. Old San Juan , the second-oldest European settlement in the New World , is best explored on foot as visitors have done for centuries. After a short bus ride to San Felipe del Morro Fort, a knowledgeable cultural guide will regale you with tales of the city’s intriguing past as you visit historic sites. Points of interest include Ballaja Barracks, Las Americas Museum, Dominican Convent, La Rogativa Monument, El Convento, San Juan Cathedral, Felia Rincon Gautier Museum , Cristo Street and Cristo’s Chapel, with a break for photographs along the way. After the tour, you may stay to shop at Cristo and Fortaleza streets and take the 20-minute walk back to the ship at your leisure.

Canoe & Snorkel Safari (3.5 - 4 hours)

Captain your own vessel! After an approximate 20-minute ride to Caracas Bay Island , you’ll be given operating and safety instructions before embarking on your approximate 45-minute canoeing adventure. Once aboard, you’ll paddle along St. Barbara Beach amid volcanic rocks dating back two million years, colorful corals and sea creatures as your guide leads you around Goat Mountain and through the Spanish Waters. After docking your canoe, enjoy a refreshing fruit punch at the Baya Beach Club and prepare for the next phase of your exciting excursion: snorkeling at a sunken tugboat teeming with aquatic life before departing for the approximate 20-minute return to the ship.

Nature Walk Through La Mina Falls at the Rainforest (6 hours)

A walk to remember! After a 1-hour ride, your destination is El Yunque Rainforest, the only tropical rainforest in United States ’ territory. Put on you’re walking shoes and stroll among wild orchids, waterfalls, giant ferns, tropical hardwoods and other natural wonders; your knowledgeable guide will point out flora and fauna along the way. And bring your camera—you’ll want to capture the panoramic views provided by the 3,000-foot-high peaks of the Luquillo Mountains . Your first trail stop will be at El Baño Grande, a natural swimming pool of crystal-clear water, and then it’s off to the Yohaku Observation Tower for more photo opportunities. Your final destination is the spectacular La Mina Falls, where you’ll be able to enjoy a refreshing swim—remember to wear bathing attire under your clothes. Afterwards, the trip back to the ship is 1 hour. Please note: No strollers are permitted on this excursion.

Sea Aquarium (3.5 hours)

See sea life while staying high and dry! An approximate 2 1/2-hour visit to the Curaçao Seaquarium is the perfect way to observe the island’s underwater wonders from a comfortable vantage point. After an approximate 15-minute ride through historic Willemstad and over the impressive Queen Juliana Bridge , you’ll arrive at the island’s number-one attraction, where more than 300 species of tropical fish reside. The aquarium also presents a wide variety of aquatic entertainment, including shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, sharks, and turtles, plus a unique underwater observatory. During the approximate 15-minute return ride, you may choose to be dropped off in downtown Willemstad for shopping and sightseeing before taking the approximate 10-minute walk back to the ship.

Bacardi Rum Distillery & Old San Juan City Tour (4.5 hours)

The heart and soul of Puerto Rico ! This tour transports you to the island’s historic center with visits to the world’s largest rum distillery and the blue-cobblestone streets of Old San Juan. At the distillery, you’ll discover Puerto Rico ’s storied past, learn how to mix different Bacardi cocktails and receive a sample of the results. Then it’s time to stroll amid the lacy wrought-iron balconies, wonderful shops and centuries-old structures of Old San Juan. Your tour will include stops at Fort San Cristobal and shopping time at Fortaleza Street , the city’s famed retail district. From there, you may return to the ship via bus, or stay and browse before taking the 20-minute walk back to the ship.

Dolphin Encounter (3 - 3.5 hours)

An excursion to flip for! Enjoy a rare opportunity to learn more about bottlenose dolphins in their own aquatic environment. An approximate 15-minute ride brings you to Dolphin Encounter, where you’ll receive a brief overview by the dolphin trainers. Then, you’ll enter the water in small groups, standing waist-deep on a submerged platform for an up-close and personal encounter with these friendly marine mammals (please note that this is not a free swim with the dolphins). Dolphin trainers will be on hand to describe the unique characteristics of these fascinating flippered creatures. After your unforgettable encounter, it’s an approximate 15-minute ride back to the ship.

Condado Beach Escape (4. 5 hours)

Hit the beach in style! Bask in the sun-splashed offerings at the San Juan Marriott Resort, where you’ll have carte blanche to enjoy the resort’s palm-fringed beach, shower facilities and elaborate pool, complete with water slide and swim-up bar. You’ll have approximately 2 hours to relax on one of the resort’s comfortable beachside lounge chairs, cool off at the pool and revel in the tropical atmosphere. The trip to and from the beach is 30 minutes each way. Enjoy!

Curacao Dive Tour (4 - 4.5 hours)

Explore the mysterious fathoms below! Famed for crystal-clear waters and colorful aquatic life, the reefs and wrecks off the shores of Curaçao are a diver’s dream. Your half-day dive adventure begins at the dock, where you’ll board a boat for the approximate 30-minute ride to the Marine Park , home to Curaçao’s best dive sites. After donning the supplied diving gear, you’ll be ready to explore Diver’s Leap, a steep wall alive with a variety of colorful corals and fish. Each dive is approximately 50 minutes, with a 1-hour break between dives; during the break, relax while enjoying beverages and snacks on board. The second dive site is Saba , another wall teeming with aquatic flora and fauna, and at the end of the dive, you’ll have a chance to explore a fascinating shipwreck—be sure to bring your underwater camera! An approximate 30-minute boat ride brings you back to the dock after your certifiably sensational adventure.

Please Note: This excursion is for certified divers only; in order to participate, you must present your certification card and have completed at least one dive in the last two years. Guests under medication may not be permitted to dive. Depending on tidal conditions, bus transportation may be provided to and from the dock to the dive site.
