When the sun sets over the waters of Downtown Disney Pleasure Island,
the fun is just beginning in the streets, nightclubs, boutiques
and restaurants of the six-acre nighttime entertainment complex.
Each evening at 7 p.m., Pleasure Island comes alive with a street
party followed by a late-night tribute to New Year's Eve complete
with fireworks and confetti. The island, with a "hill" leading to
the famed West End Stage, is a smorgasbord of entertainment -- with
acts that have included Garth Brooks, Bryan Adams, Puff Daddy and
Trisha Yearwood. And the entertainment continues here in the seven
clubs that surround the island:
Nighttime entertainment begins at 7 p.m. and requires an admission
pass (included with Park Hopper Plus Pass and Ultimate Park Hopper).
From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., admission to Pleasure Island and its clubs,
shops, and attractions is restricted to those 18 or older unless
accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Must be 21 or over to enter Mannequins Dance Palace and the BET
SoundStage Club (Thu-Sat).
Valid passport; foreign, international, or U.S. driver's license
with photo; or active U.S. military I.D. required.
Adventurers Club
Step into the 1930s at The Adventurers Club, where zany explorers
and their tall tales will keep you laughing all night in four outrageous
rooms filled with non-stop entertainment. There is not a club in
the world quite like this one. Guests are greeted at the door by
a butler as they enter a tavern filled with surprises around every
corner. The mask room features walls of masks -- some with slowly
turning eyes, others with sharp wits and eloquent verbalization.
In the Main Salon, there are nightly debates between the club "fixtures"
such as the "Colonel," "Babylonia" and the "Yakoose." A beheaded
adventurer speaks out in the Treasure Room, and in the Library the
flavor is cabaret as "great adventurers" break into song and zany
tales. Be careful. YOU may become part of the show. (non smoking)
Raglan Road
Raglan Road delivers an experience
immersed in genuine Irish atmosphere -- from food and drink to
live music and entertainment.
Traditional and contemporary Irish music, storytelling and dance
help create a spirited social ambience and the friendly pub staff
brings Emerald Isle charm to Downtown Disney. Irish musicians entertain
nightly and guests are encouraged to sing, clap and dance along
to the lively performances.
The Raglan Road menu blends traditional Irish fare and fresh ingredients,
all with a modern flair. Natural tastes, flavor and quality prevail
in dishes such as Raglan Rack (rack of lamb on a delicate Irish
stew consommé), Sea Leek (oven-baked fillet of sea bass
served on a fondue of leeks) and Kevin's Kudos (oven-roasted loin
of bacon served with braised cabbage and creamed potato).
With capacity for 600 guests, Raglan Road is warm and welcoming
with custom furnishings, lighting and wall coverings -- all designed
and built in Ireland by Irish craftspeople. Irish antiques, ornamentation
and bric-a-brac complete the authentic décor.
Raglan Road is owned and operated by Great Irish Pubs Florida,
Inc., the Irish-owned company that previously created Nine Fine
Irishmen at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Pleasure Island club admission will not be required for entrance
to Raglan Road.
BET SoundStage Club
The best in urban contemporary music and entertainment. This new
club owned by BET Holdings, Inc. features R&B and hip-hop music,
a multimedia display of videos and music, plus American-style appetizers.
The Comedy Warehouse
Just a "hip-hop away" from the BET Soundstage Club where the tin
roof rattles with laughter. The Comedy Warehouse is the stage for
some of the best comics working today. Nightly, the "Who, What &
Warehouse" Improv Company players deliver some of the best improvisational
comedy anywhere -- it's never the same show twice. Due to limited
seating, we suggest starting your night with an early show. (Non
smoking)
8Trax
The '70s -- a decade of incredible change -- and music reflective
of the times. Slip back to an era when beanbag chairs decorated
apartments and tie-dyed clothes decorated bodies. The '70s unfold
in the club known as 8Trax. Lava lamps to mirror balls -- the mood
of the seventies is here, and so is the sound. From disco to recorded
music from groups and artists like the Village People, Donna Summer,
Bee Gees, Doobie Brothers, Tavares and many others.
The Rock N Roll Beach Club
Rock 'n roll that plays to the beats of the past and the present,
from the '60s to the '90s. The club features three levels of entertainment,
a large dance floor and top bands nightly.
Mannequins Dance Palace
Here, it's the dance floor and light show that sets the standard
for this award-winning club. The huge floor actually spins as dancers
gyrate to booming sounds. The rotation of the round floor, like
the music and lights, moves at different speeds. The RPMs, or "beats
per minute," really get turned up when the Island Explosion Dancers
make nightly appearances. Guests enter Mannequins from a third floor
elevator that opens to catwalks, stage rigging and enough actual
mannequins to give the illusion of a giant theatrical warehouse.

Motion
Bodies are always in motion at this two-story temple of groove.
A DJ spins the hottest chart hits nightly, backed by a huge video
screen, pulsing speakers and swirling lights.
Pleasure Island Jazz Company
The place for jazz in Central Florida. The Jazz Company offers some
of the best smooth jazz singles, duos and bands. The club serves
wine by the glass and features a tapas bar with a large assortment
of appetizers.
Waterfront Stage
Party with live bands or top deejays on special nights.
West End Stage
The place for raging live performances by some of today's top name
artists & music groups. From concert jams to our nightly
New Year's Eve celebration.
