Visit Epcot World Showcase in the morning, & Future World in
the afternoon/evening.
If you arrive in time
for park opening, head for Soarin', then Mission: SPACE & Test
Track, then Spaceship Earth. Then go to Honey I Shrunk the Audience.
Head over to World Showcase when it opens at 11am, then finish
the rest of Future World in the late afternoon/evening.
If you want to visit
Test Track and Mission: SPACE, see which is the longest line and
get a Fastpass for it, then ride the other.
Soarin' is incredibly
popular and Fastpasses often run out in the morning, so if it's
on your list of must-dos go first thing or get a Fastpass.
Check out the tip board
at Innoventions Plaza for current attraction wait times.
Travel clockwise around
World Showcase, starting at Mexico.
The most popular and busiest attractions are Mission: SPACE, Test
Track, Soarin' & Spaceship Earth.
As
many people visit Future World in the morning, and World Showcase
in the afternoon, you'll often find little wait for Spaceship Earth
in the afternoon.
If you have children with
you, stop at the Kidcot fun stops in each World Showcase pavilion.
Cast members will help them make their own masks for the Tapestry
of Nations Parade, and at each stop they can add something else
to the mask.
If you're pushed for time, don't bother with 'El Rio del Tiempo'
or 'Journey into your Imagination'.
If you want a good view
of IllumiNations, you need to claim your spot at least 1 hour early,
sometimes the better spots are taken up to 2 hours in advance.
Epcot is a large park and requires a lot of walking. Take regular
rest breaks and plan to do the shows in the afternoon when you'll
be glad of a rest and air-conditioning.
Buy an Epcot Passport, it will keep the kids interested while visiting
the World Showcase countries. The pack contains a passport that
you can get stamped in each country, the cast member will also write
something in his/her native language.
If you're just going to Epcot World Showcase, park at one of the
Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club), and enter through
International Gateway. You can even explore the Epcot resorts &
maybe eat there too.
If you want to eat at any of the restaurants, make priority seating
early on in the day, or even better make it in advance by phoning
WDW-DINE.
Use the 'single riders' line at Test Track, waits are a lot shorter,
but you will be separated from your party.
When choosing your spot to watch IllumiNations, take into account
where you will be exiting, as once the show finishes, thousands
of people all head for the exit at once. If you're leaving via the
main entrance, it would be wise to watch from World Showcase Plaza.
If you are leaving via the International Gateway, view from the
UK or Canada. Alternatively, stay in the park once the show has
finished & until the crowds have disappeared, the shops in Future
World will still be open.
Try to make time to see some of the live entertainment (schedule
in the park guidemap) in the World Showcase countries, some can
be as good as the attractions themselves!
You may find a lot of school parties at Epcot during the week, especially
around September/October. If possible, schedule your visit to Epcot
for the weekend.
In Honey I Shrunk the Audience, don't sit in the first few rows,
the 3D images won't focus properly (when you enter the pre-show
film, don't go down to the very front of the room).
Don't visit any of the attractions in 'The Land' at mealtimes, as
the pavilion also contains restaurants which will make the pavilion
busy.
People who suffer motion sickness should avoid riding Body Wars.
The quietest rest rooms
are at Innoventions West, around the back of the Imagination Pavilion,
and in Morocco.
"Go to Spaceship Earth at night. There will be nobody in line.
30 minutes before or during Illuminations, there will be no line
for anything." Gregory Papas
"Try and go to Epcot first before you go to the Magic Kingdom.
That way, your kids will enjoy Epcot more and have The Magic Kingdom
to look forward to. Epcot could be a little bit of a "let-down"
for kids after they have seen The Magic Kingdom." Diane
Selnau
"If you have asthma, or a family does, DON'T RIDE "Journey
Into Your Imagation with Figment". They spray skunk smell on
you, and it's choking. I don't recommend this for people with breathing
problems." --Katie
"if
you are a big fan of the beatles check out THE BRITISH INVASION
in ENGLAND. they perform 3 to 5 times a day .well with it."
