Mini Golf, Pool Games, Basketball Court and More
Family cruises don’t only provide families with the opportunity to explore and experience the chosen destination with style but they also provide families with a wealth of opportunities for family fun and the ability to enjoy both kids-only and adults-only facilities and activities. Most cruise liners feature exciting and entertaining facilities offering something for the entire family to enjoy together or/and alone. Listed below are some of the families’ favourites:
-
Mini golf. A feature of most newer cruise liners, especially the largest ones, is very popular with both young children, teens and their parents. Designed to be challenging yet entertaining and fun while providing spectacular views of the ocean, mini golf provides a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation for all ages. Some liners have fully stocked stores selling the latest Mizuno golf equipment and clothing.
-
Deck pool and pool games. The absolute favourite of both kids and their parents, the main deck pool offers day-long fun and recreation to passengers aboard virtually all cruise ships. And while swimming and splashing in the pool keeps most passengers satisfied, including the youngest ones, there are typically also various pool games to make water activities even more exciting and enjoyable.
-
Basketball court, ping pong tables, rock-climbing walls and more. To accommodate kids’ endless need for physical activity and entertainment, and meet different needs and tastes for fun, family-centred cruise liners typically also include basketball court, ping pong tables and a number of other facilities and recreation opportunities including rock-climbing walls. With so many things to do and different facilities/activities to choose from, fun is guaranteed.
Minimal Age Requirement
Facilities and activities aboard family-friendly cruise ships provide something for all tastes and ages. However, use of/participation in some may be age-limited. So be sure to inform yourself about minimal age requirement for particular facilities or/and activities, ideally before making any reservations. There is no need to worry that you or your kids will be bored aboard the ship but it’s good to know that they will have the opportunity to choose and enjoy a diversity of facilities and activities while travelling between the destinations.
