International Drive

Orlando's main street and a resort in itself, International Drive is a hive of activity both day and night. With a five mile strip of hotels, restaurants, bars, shopping malls and theme parks, everything you could possibly need is right on your doorstep.

A lively resort with a party atmosphere best explored on foot.

Lots of restaurants providing every conceivable type of menu.

Excellent bars, lively and fast moving entertainment.

Large shopping complexes, designer stores and factory outlets.

Close to Walt Disney World Resort

60 minutes from the airport

It's hard to imagine a better place from which to explore the various delights of Florida than Orlando. And where better to start than International Drive? Known locally as I-Drive, this all-singing, all-dancing holiday base has plenty to keep all ages entertained.

Start your exploration locally and discover the delights of the Mercado Village - an excellent shopping and entertainment complex - or the Belz Factory Outlet Mall - America's largest factory outlet centre and home to 160 stores including Reebok, Ralph Lauren and Christian Dior.

If you're looking for evening entertainment, discover the rock 'n' roll delights of Blazing Pianos, the Front Row Sports Bar, the live music at Billboard Live or the music and memorabilia of Jani Lane's Sunset Strip.

When it comes to theme parks, you couldn't ask for more than Walt Disney World (and you'll find it just a 25 minute drive from mid I-Drive).

Closer still is Universal Orlando, located at the northern end of I-Drive, for incredible rides, shows and movie sets.

The watery delights of Wet 'n Wild are also situated at the northern end of I-Drive. Here you'll find pools, slides, chutes and plunges - the ideal place to cool off after a busy day sightseeing.

And talking of making a splash, the ever popular SeaWorld and Discovery Cove provide a fascinating insight into the creatures of the deep.

Many more shops, factory outlets, restaurants, and other attractions can all be found on International Drive.

How to get around I-Drive

The I-Ride trolley transports guests along International Drive. The Gold Line operates between Belz Factory Outlet World & SeaWorld, while the Green Line travels along Universal Boulevard, between Wet 'n Wild & the Peabosy Hotel. There are 54 stops along the way.

It costs $0.75 per ride, or $0.25 per ride for those over 65 (exact change is required). Children ride for free when accompanied by an adult. A one day pass costs $2.00, and allows unlimted travel on the I-Ride trolley. The trolleys seat 41, and can accomodate two wheelchairs. Runs from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m, at approx 15 minutes intervals.
