Once Upon a Toy, a toy store filled with creative playthings that
combine the magic of Disney and the fun of Hasbro, is open 365 days
a year at Downtown Disney Marketplace, part of Walt Disney World
Resort.
New Theme Park Toys
Once Upon a Toy offers a unique collection of new toys, games and
collectibles created by Disney and Hasbro, the official toy and
game company of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and
Disneyland Paris Resort. The fun new items include a MR. POTATO
HEAD outfitted with Mickey Mouse ears, a theme park edition of the
classic detective game CLUE set inside Disney's Haunted Mansion
attraction, action figures of the Star Tours droids from the "Star
Wars"-inspired attraction, and much more.
Creative Disney Playthings
Also available at Once Upon a Toy are creative toys inspired by
Walt Disney World Resort, including miniature versions of Disney's
popular monorail and the Walt Disney World Railroad, plus playsets
based on Cinderella Castle and beloved theme park attractions like
the Haunted Mansion and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Guests also will
discover unique Disney creations such as the new My Disney Girl
doll and accessories, and the new Disney Bear line of huggable furry
friends.
Familiar Hasbro Favorites
Cherished Hasbro toys and games that have been making the world
smile for decades are featured at Once Upon a Toy, including brands
such as TINKERTOY, LINCOLN LOGS, PLAY-DOH, LITE-BRITE, G.I. JOE,
TONKA vehicles and more, as well as special Disney theme park editions
of the world's most popular board games, including MONOPOLY, CLUE
and CANDY LAND. Guests can create a custom MR. POTATO HEAD from
thousands of playful parts at a large hands-on construction station
after previewing the design on one of several touch-screen terminals.
Great Guest Service
Once Upon a Toy is the first retail location at Walt Disney World
Resort to feature innovative new computer terminals that allow guests
to have their purchases delivered to a Walt Disney World hotel or
shipped to a mailing address around the world. Touch-screen technology
near each point-of-sale location makes using the optional service
quick and easy.
Fun Inside and Out
Located at the eastern edge of the Downtown Disney area, Once Upon
a Toy occupies a colorful 16,000-square-foot structure designed
with a blend of arts-and-crafts architecture and whimsical fantasy
elements to suggest a fun toy shop that has expanded over the years.
The interior space includes five unique rooms with separate themes,
toys and displays.
Playful touches dominate the shop's exterior, from a larger-than-life
Genie (from Disney's "Aladdin") popping out of a chimney to a 39-foot-tall
TINKERTOY windmill nearby. Several colorful display windows re-create
popular Disney sights with familiar toy and game pieces, including
a LITE-BRITE portrait of famous Disney princesses and a miniature
version of Cinderella Castle built with SCRABBLE tiles, MONOPOLY
game board pieces, TINKERTOY parts and more.
Inside, kinetic displays and interactive technology created by
Walt Disney Imagineering add to the spirit of unbridled play, like
a revolving spinner from THE GAME OF LIFE in one room's ceiling,
a moving conveyor loaded with toys, and an oversized version of
the Walt Disney World Railroad toy train chugging slowly overhead
on a suspended track.

Downtown Disney area of Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista,
Fla.
Store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
