" I have been pin trading now for about three years. I have
been to Euro Disney twice, and have just come back from Walt Disney
World, Florida. I have managed to collect more than 70 pins, most
of which are no longer sold in the parks. Since it is such an expensive
hobby, I now try to focus on collecting Tarzan and Hunchback of
Notre Dame pins, which I have 12 and 18 pins respectively. I have
had bad experiences with collectors, being extremely unwilling to
trade pins displayed in their trading catalogues, but for the most
part it has been huge fun. I think pin trading helps get more out
of a holiday, as you speak to a lot more different cast members,
and all the cast are so friendly it is well worth talking to them.I
just love shiny things."
"I just got
back from Disney on Sunday. My husband and I took our two girls
and another couple with their two boys. We had a great time. We
were there from 10/7/00 to 10/15/00. The reason why I'm writing
you is because I think I have an interesting story. My husband and
I have been to Disney quite a few times. But this time I think my
husband enjoyed this trip the most. He got hooked on pin trading
and we ended up coming home with 245 pins within one weeks time.
He had even managed to get Cast pins and at least 30 of the my first
pins. We also got to meet alot of interesting people. Now my husband
wants to go back in the spring, if he can hold out that long. Every
time I would look at my husband at another cash reginster or pin
station -- He would just look at me and say "Honey, you told me
I needed a hobby." It got so bad that I actually bought him an engraved
disney pin that says, "King Pin Ken"." Mrs. King Pin
