Places to Relax

Walking around the parks in WDW can be very tiring, very often you'll just want to sit down somewhere to have a rest. Here is a list of places, some quiet, some not, where you can sit back & watch the world go by. Bear in mind that the attractions & shows listed may require you to stand in a queue or waiting area first.

Magic Kingdom

Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer Island.
Seats next to the lagoon in Fantasyland.
Benches in Town Square & the Hub.
Cinderella's Rose Garden.
Take a trip on the train on the WDW Railroad.
On the Liberty Belle Riverboat.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
The Enchanted Tiki Room.
"The building next to the Hall of Presidents there is a front porch with rocking chairs. From this area you relax and take a break while watching the crowds."

Epcot

On any of the benches in World Showcase, you might even see one of the live performances.
America Gardens Theater.
Take a ride on one of the Friendship boats across the World Showcase Lagoon.
Impressions de France show.
In the United Kingdom Garden.
Rose & Crown Pub.
Fountainview cafe.
"A nice place to just get out of the heat and you're at EPCOT, go to the American Adventure. Now I personally love this show but some find it, less then appealing. This is however air-conditioned which is a plus and it is 30 min. so then you could, now I stress could, take a nap."

Disney-MGM Studios

The Great Movie Ride.
Muppetvision 3D.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

Animal Kingdom

Any of the shows.
There are benches tucked away along the various pathways.

Resorts

In the Grand Floridian lobby, listening to the piano player.
Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian.
Sit on a rocking chair in the Wilderness Lodge lobby.
Take a ride on one of the many boats that run from resort to resort, or resort to park.
Sit on the beach at a resort, particularly the Grand Floridian & Polynesian.
Swing in one of the hammocks on the beach at the Polynesian resort.
"The bench on the boat dock at Wilderness Lodge, when the boats to MK are not running. (wear mosquito repellant if you go at dusk)". Rachelle
"Any benches along the Disney Boardwalk."
"One of my favorite resting spots is at the Animal Kingdon Lodge in one of the oversized rocking chairs over-looking the savannah. It's always so quiet and peaceful there." Chrissy

Others

Baby services/First Aid in each of the parks.
Take a round trip on the monorail.
"At MGM Studios, we absolutely LOVE sitting on any bench and watching the street performers.... we could do that all day.........they are so highly entertaining.......as we sit and relax...... Also, in Fort Wilderness, at Crockett's Tavern, which is connected to Pioneer Hall (Hoop Dee Doo Revue).......we love to get a big cold drink from Crockett's Tavern and take it outside and sit in rockers on the huge wrap-around porch and just watch the people and a few critters..... the peacocks are gorgeous and can be quite entertaining too.......super relaxing...... It's also very relaxing to 'cruise' around Fort Wilderness in the golf carts.......a little pricey, but we love it........ Just adding my thoughts............ Warm Regards............ Phyllis....." "Any bench along the Boardwalk - day or night - is an excellent choice!" Dean
"Downtown Disney on the West Side waterside benches next to Bongo's Restaurant."
