"We stayed at the Old Key west in a villa, it was wonderful.
We had a 2 bedroom Villa. it was huge. we had plenty of room to
spread out, there were 5 adults and one infant. it was so nice to
be able to put the baby to bed and have another room to hang out
in. Also, the old key west was quiet, which is a must when you have
little ones who need their sleep. The room was clean and housekeeping
was great, we called for extra towels one day and they were there
in one minute! We loved it so much we bought a memebership in the
Disney Vacation CLub, So we not only can go back every year but
we get lots of great discounts, including 10% off our passes! We
are going in october 2003 and in May of 2004, we just can't get
enough of Disney!
The food was pretty decent, just a little bit of a walk... but with
the full refridgerator, we bought our own food from the grcery store
( we had a car) and we saved a ton of money on breakfast and meals
for my daughter!
It was great, the staff was courteous and it really made our trip
alot better." (2/03) Michelle
"We absolutely
loved this resort!! We are new owners of a DVC Membership. To think
that this room is larger than any other DVC resort room(studio).
What we loved about it was that it wasn't square or rectangular,
it really felt like a home. And it was nice to have farely decent
sized bath room. The only thing about these resorts is the mousekeepers
only come in once during your stay depending on how long you stay(we
were there for only 2 nights so they would only come when we left).
Also you have to pay for extra towels, but hey this is a resort.
Olivia's Cafe was excelent. Friendly service, and great food. Well
worth a look ****." (8/03) Chris
"Disney's
Old Key West Resort was wonderful! We've never stayed on disney
property and thanks to close friends, were able to get in a 3 room
villa. It was actualy bigger than our house! It was wonderful to
have all the amenities of home including a washer/dryer. We stayed
across from checkin and everything was nearby. We took the bus several
times and never had to wait for more than 10 min to board one. It's
easier than driving! Plus if you buy anything at any of the parks
they'll deliver it to you for free! OKW was very quiet and peaceful
which was a wonderful change from the hussel and bussel of the day's
park. I loved their jogging trail although the fitness room could
be larger to accomodate such a large resort. We ate at Olivia's
twice, once for breakfast, once for lunch and both were very good.
Plenty of food and the staff--as usual for Disney cast members--were
very accomodating. We'll be going back in two weeks. I can't wait!"

"My family
and i have always stayed at Old Key West.My moms parents are members
of the vacation club so we have always stayed there. The rooms are
wonderful and are clean, it is so nice to have a kitchen and a laundry
room in the room. The linens are always clean! Old Key West is a
nice resort to walk around at, we love the scenery. We would always
recomend this resort. The dining is pretty good. They have Olivias
which is great. Also some other resturants. Old Key West is a very
beautiful place and the service is great!" (10/02) Lauren
"The rooms
are incredibly clean and spacious. The location has always been
good, though I prefer staying furthur away from the main road and
from the hospitality center. However, where ever I've stayed, I've
had a great time. Also, the decor of the rooms and the all of the
grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Hm... I'm quite picky
about what I eat, and yet I've always found something to eat here
at OKW. I've been to Olivia's for breakfast and was impressed with
service, cleanliness, and timing, however the food wasn't to my
liking. Though it was prepared very well, and presented nicely,
it was just not the type of food I like to eat. However, the other
locations in OKW to get a quick bite are great. I'd like to say
that Old Key West is my home away from home. Every cast member there
was friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. The
rooms are immaculate, the decor in the rooms is lovely, and the
atmosphere as a whole is simply beautiful. One of the most picturesque
places I've ever been. At OKW, you have quick access to everything
you could possibly need, at any time of the day or night. I stay
here every year and every year I am more and more impressed. The
OKW cast members never cease to amaze me. I have nothing but positive
things to say about Old Key West. Keep up the great work!"

"We are members.
We like rooms 45,46 &55 because they over look the water, but all
locations are nice except those close to the road where the buses
run and other traffic. Rooms are always clean. Bus service is great,
have never had detours thru other complexes and we have been going
there since the second year it opened. We prefer the one or ( two
bed room, with company) but the studio is very nice also. We have
eaten at just about every restaurant in all of Disney World and
have no complaints about the quality of the food or service, other
than you get too much food!! Some of our relatives have stayed there
and really liked it. Kids think it's really neat that they can swim
at any pool on the WDW complex. What is also nice are the food courts
at the other complexes where you can get a quick meal if you want.
Board walk and the other complexes are nice but we think OKW is
by far the best and the best investment we ever made. We have also
been on the 7 day cruise and it was great, also now going in May
for the Mexico route." Joe and Paulette Sacher
"Staying at
OKW was my first experience staying on-site at WDW and wow was I
impressed. We stayed in a 3 bedroom grand villa and it was amazing.
If you have the money or the points to use, I highly suggest staying
here. The Villa was very clean, and of course very spacious and
having a full kitchen and living room and a dining room is very
relaxing after a long summer day at the parks. The pool area was
great and everything was beautiful. It was quite the experience.
The busses we r e fine we had no problems with them." (8/01)

"This was
our first experience at Old Key West. Our stay can only be described
as AWSOME!!! We had a two bedroom villa (husband, 2 daughters and
niece). The villa had all the comforts of home. It was very spacious
and beautiful. The only complaint was that time did not allow us
to enjoy all of its benefits. We'll stay longer our next visit and
schedule our days better. We're also looking at purchasing a villa."

"OKW is great.
Have stayed there over 52 nights in 6 years. Best accommodations
in WDW! One bedrooms are our preference! Can't beat the two person
jacuzzi in room or the view of golf course off the veranda or washer
and dryers in room.
Location can be dicey if you do not request accommodations (could
be far from community center/main bus pick up).
Employees at OKW are tops. Had the same bellhop for over 6 years
and he's wonderful. Welcomed home.
Olivia's is great for staying in the complex. However, I would not
make a special trip to dine there. Dis has made renovations and
improvements." (6/01) Laura
"My wife and
I stayed at the Old Key West resort at the beginning of May. We
had a wonderful time. Some things to note if you plan to stay here.
Do what you can to request a room near the Hospitality desk. The
walk to rooms down by South Point bus stop can be quite long. It
was however nice to be close to a bus stop (building 56) as we were
able to see buses coming to the stop and pulling in to turn around.
We had enough time to get down from our room and to the stop before
the bus did. This would only work at South Point stop because of
the route the drivers need to take. If you do stay at OKW defintitly
take the boat to Downtown one evening, it's a very nice ride. Our
room however wasn't quite as clean as we expected. That was somewhat
disappointing. However, we were rarely there anyway.
Olivia's was the best resturant we ate at during our stay. The Mahi
Mahi was quite good. We also ate at Chefs de France in Epcot, Rainforest
Cafe at Downtown Disney and a couple of other locations.
Very nice resort. Good location. Some buses had weird routes however.
Leaving MGM we had to drop one person at Institute and 4 people
at Treehouses before we dropped 58 people at OKW. Everyone on board
was quite annoyed about this. I think everyone felt the majority
should be dumped first." (5/01) Keith
"we stayed
at old key west, and it as wonderful. We could not ask for a nicer
place to stay. Plus my daughter was on the college work program
and we had the chance to see were she worked.I hope to return this
year." bpotts@galis.com
"I have stayed
at Disney's Vacation Club - Old Key West since it opened. That is
the most beautiful and relaxing hotel on property. It is so quiet,
it is the perfect place to stay. It is 5 stars to me."
"Stayed in the Old Key West resort when it first opened in 1992.
Could this be the perfect resort? Great, spacious accommodations.
Full kitchens, jacuzzi tubs (great for tired bods), etc. Full slate
of outdoor activities and okay food (beware the Conch fritter).
Nice location means easy access to all parks -- though bus ride
always went through those awful Tree House Villas."
"I am a DVCer
and have stayed here several times. I must dissagree on a couple
things. The rooms are great! The bus service each time we have stayed
has been awful! So bad in fact that one am the manager had no less
than 20 complaints on his desk. He addmitted this himself. He was
very sorry and got right on it . It seemed like we had a better
time of it after that and then next visit it was back to the same. The
food is ok. I don't think it was up to Disney standards. The cast
and crew are the best! The grounds are perfect, and the boat ride
to disney village was Great. It's a nice place that was a great
place before they sold all the memberships there.the perfect place>>>
nope that honor goes to Boardwalk if you ask me!" LPnerd
