"I did the "Marine Mammal Keeper Experience" on May 25 2005 and it was the BEST day ever!  I loved every thing that I did and I also thought that the trainers were awsome!!!!!  If  u have the chance to do it...  do it!!!"

"This was the best day of my life! I did the marine mammal keeper experience (MMKE) at the end of October and I loved every minute of it! I was nervous about what I was going to be doing at first, but once I met the guy who was going to take me around all day I felt better. He was awesome and all the seaworld staff are around if you need anything. If you are seriously thinking about doing the MMKE, go for it. It's a one - off opportunity in a lifetime. I swam with dolphins and the manatees (Which we tubefed) and I got to feed handfuls of fish to all the animals (Sealions, walrus', beluga whales...) Interacting with the animals is amazing. For example if you touch your lips by the beluga whales, they come up and kiss you!!!!! You learn how the dolphins are looked after and all the animals in the park are truly loved and cared for. Interacting with them was awesome, plus take a camera with you. There are definitely some shots you'll want to keep with you! (A photographer goes around with you to some of the exhibits and at the end of the day you get to choose one picture that you would like to print and keep). In my opinion go for the MMKE. I would say that this is HEAPS better then the Trainer for a Day only because its is a much longer program (Trainer for a DAY isn't a DAY as it is only 4 hours although that is pretty good as well) and also with the MMKE you get to learn a whole bunch of stuff and have fun, and you don't feel rushed with what you are doing as being up at 6:30 till 3:00pm is a fairly long time! If you don't like touching fish however, I sincerely recommend taking a pair of rubber gloves. I however didn't and after about 9 showers the smell of fish finally went off my hands! I also had to clean up bowls with fish in which wasn't the funnest part, but I learnt how the seaworld keepers feel doing their jobs, and now I am looking at doing a career in Zoology. This will be a day to remember forever and you'll be a changed person as well. You'll have a smile on your face the whole day - there isn't one second that is boring! Do it!" Lucy Age 14 UK

"Absolutely awesome! I just attended this program today. It is worth every penny, and, in my opinion, is much better than trainer for a day. You interact with more animals and truly get to see and participate in behind-the-scenes action." (4/03)
