Day 7 – Friday
We were all up, dressed, showered and out of the room by 11 today.
We wanted to take a little extra time and keep hitting that alarm
clock since we are going to be driving for a pretty long time tonight.
We got the car loaded up and picked up any straggling bags from
the gift shop, checked out and jumped on the bus over to Epcot.
I think this had to be my favorite day of the whole trip. It was
so nice to just casually stroll through all of the countries without
having to rush and jump around so that we get all of the good things
in. We made sure to catch whatever shows we happened to see along
the way and hit any shops we didn’t have time for previously.
We had a PS for Le Cellier at 6 so we started heading back around
for another loop around 4:30ish so we can take our time.
Le Cellier was excellent as usual and it was a really good meal
to pile on before we sit in a car forever. I was glad we had such
a big dinner because I didn’t want to fill myself up with
road munchies like we did on the way down. When we finished with
Le Cellier, we were on our way back out to the front to pick up
the bus. I really hate this part!
Back to Port Orleans to pick up the car and then another trip over
to Downtown to get that snowglobe I’ve been eyeing the whole
trip. We know we aren’t going to be back for a while now so
we did a great deal of shopping in Downtown Disney. I’m really
surprised that we were able to fit in the car between all of the
souveniers for everyone, three snowglobes and ourselves. It was
a squeeze, I vaguely remember someone using a snowglobe with a jacket
over it as a pillow in the back for a bit but we made it! After
a quick stop at Publix for some last minute snacks, we were on the
road about 10PM.
We made it back into New Jersey at about 1:00PM the next day. Not
too bad of a ride at all. I’d do it again with no problem..The
hard thing is convincing my husband! I’d like to finish my
trip report with a quick sidebar here. I feel it important to tell
everyone that there we counted 67 signs for South of the Border
on the way to Florida and about 80 on the way home. Just for anyone
that was interested! Until next time, I bid you adieu…
